Something else I picked up in Cardiff was a second hand Over head projector that my friend named Hector.

WALES
(AND EXETER!)
Some course mates and I went to a photo book fair and symposium in Cardiff last weekend. Both the book and symposium were simply fantastic. The whole weekend turned into quite the adventure. The book fair was at the Turner House Gallery in Penarth in the suburbs of Cardiff. After the book fair we ventured down to the pier for pizza and chips. The symposium was in the centre of Cardiff. I waited my course mates in the sunshine outside at the castle after I had spend the night at YHA cardiff. (note: you will get little sleep here on a night that wales wins the rugby!) Many publishes and photographers took part in the symposium and It was a privilege to hear the panel discussions and reviews. The drive home became interesting, when the car broke down outside Exeter and we stayed at a friends shack and drove home with a fixed car the next day. Here are some snap shots of the weekend. All taken on my Holga.
A photography student at the University College Falmouth in Cornwall. I study mostly fine art photography and camera-less photography. I have a passion for old analogue cameras and would like to use analogue until the very last day. I want to go into gallery work, researching and archiving. I think teaching the future generations about the wonders of traditional photography is important. If you want to chatter, give me advice or inspiration, drop me a tweet @TheJoannaRuth
